Business Community Relief Fund for Victims of SARS

The tragic outbreak of SARS in Hong Kong has caused great distress and financial hardship to infected patients and their families. Hong Kong's business community, inspired by the spirit of mutual help and compassion for the disadvantaged and the young, has promptly launched the "Business Community Relief Fund for Victims of SARS". The fund offered immediate financial assistance to recovered SARS patients as well as those surviving family members of the deceased victims of SARS. Along with this, Emperor Foundation has contributed HK$1 million to the Relief Fund in a bid to help those in need to overcome their most immediate hardship. Since the situation in China was as much critical, the Relief Fund has extended its service to Mainland China.
